| There is usually little need to climb the rig on a schooner that has been stripped of her topmasts as the Ernestina had at the time this image was made. Other than regular maintenance, the only occassions are in emergencies or when one wants to get a dramatic view of the vessel underway. The key here is not to drop the camera or to let it knock against the rigging while climbing. |
