| On this unbelievably cold day, just everything was covered with ice - sixteen below and the wind blowing across the island. My medium format camera had already frozen, and was indoors thawing. I was wearing everything I owned plus some that I pilfered... Anyway, it was good that I had only the 35mm Nikon, because as I was deciding on the next frame, these intrepid ducks flew directly into the freezing sea smoke scudding across the harbor, and I was able to swing and catch them. |
